Unlocking the Secret of Language Learning Strategies: Improving Year 4 ESL Pupils’ Writing Skills

English is widely acknowledged as Malaysia's second language and learners' proficiency in the strongly influenced by their learning preferences, needs, styles, well cultural backgrounds experiences. This study aims to investigate general usage most preferred least strategies (LLS) improving skills particularly writing among Year 4 ESL pupils a Malaysian primary school. qualitative research targeted population of school learners used survey design approach. The sample this was an urban Selangor, Malaysia, selected using purposive sampling technique. A questionnaire from Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) adapted data collection instrument. Descriptive statistics analyse obtained findings showed common, LLS improve skills. importance plethora teaching also highlighted study. implications suggest awareness teachers students better tailor suit students' needs. Overall, expected be significant providing insights into effective while guiding enhancing learners’
